About Randy
Randy Richardson is an accomplished attorney, award-winning journalist, and the founding president of the Chicago Writers Association. His latest novel, Havana Hangover, has received wide acclaim, earning recognition as a 2023 Finalist for both the Kindle Book Awards and the BestThrillers.com Book Awards, as well as a Bronze Medal in the Reader Views Reviewer’s Choice Awards. In 2024, it was honored as a Bronze Medalist in the Readers’ Favorite Book Awards and named a Finalist for the International Book Awards.
In addition to Havana Hangover, Randy has authored two other novels, Cheeseland and Lost in the Ivy, and coauthored the nonfiction book Cubsessions. His essays have been featured in celebrated anthologies such as Chicken Soup for the Father and Son Soul and Cubbie Blues, as well as literary journals including Hypertext and Memory House.
The first male recipient of the National Federation of Press Women’s Communicator of Achievement Award, Randy has been recognized for his contributions to the literary community, appearing on NewCity’s "Lit 50: Who Really Books in Chicago" list in both 2019 and 2022. His work continues to inspire and influence readers across genres.
